Austrian Mid-Century Modern Pitcher by Carl Auböck
This unusual, mid-century modern pitcher was handmade in brass, copper and bamboo by the masterful Viennese designer Carl Auböck (1900-57).
It is stamped beneath with Auböck’s last name as well as “Made in Austria.”
Auböck received four gold medals at the Triennal di Milano in 1954 amongst many other accolades.
The pitcher was obtained directly from the estate of fellow creative, Burt Miripolsky, who was a dear friend of Auböck.
Please see the other Auböck objects in our collection.
