Claude Bleynie was a French artist, born in 1923. He discovered the art of tapestry with Jean Picart Le Doux in 1952. Red wool handwoven tapestry with an intricate design of vines and peacock titled “Vigne D’Or”. Made in Ateliers des Flandres and signed by the artist C. Bleynie. The region of Flanders, Belgium has been well-known for the production of visual art on tapestries since the MIddle Ages.
