Ethel sharp oil painting of dream-like island and clouds. Ethel sharp was born in Chicago, IL on Aug. 2, 1913. Sharp first studied at the AIC. After relocating to Beverly Hills, she further studied at Chouinard Art Institute, at Marymount College under Pauline Khuri-Majoli and with Stanton MacDonald Wright who was a great influence on her future work. An imaginative artist, she produced still lifes, nudes, Abstract Futuristic and Surrealistic works. She operated her own gallery, Mosaic Arts and Crafts in Sherman Oaks, CA until her demise in 1996.
