French Art Deco Glass Tray by Hunebelle
This Art Deco trivet designed by Andre Hunebelle features a ‘Crysantheme” pattern in clear and frosted glass. The work embossed beneath, “A Hunebelle France.”
Born in Paris in 1896, Hunebelle began designing pressed glass inspired by the work of Rene Lalique shortly after WWI. His first glass exhibition in 1927 won him popular acclaim, soon after he opened a luxury store for his designs. The shop closed in 1938.
