Vintage Yei Woven Navajo Rug

A pictorial weaving with a unique composition featuring three Yei (Yeibichai) figures holding one feather in each hand. According to Navajo belief, a Yei is a supernatural being or a holy one with healing powers. Yei can be male or female and are used in sand painting during sacred rituals to heal sick people.
