Newly powder coated dining table with 6 chairs designed by John Salterini.
The table features a rare original smoked blue glass top in perfect condition, and the chairs have been upholstered in a textured caramel fabric.
The seats are curved and oval: W 18.5″ x D 15.5″ x H 18.5″
The table diameter is 55″.
John B. Salterini is widely credited as being responsible for the resurgence in wrought-iron garden furniture.
Salterini produced many in a Gothic Revival and Art Deco style.
His furniture company NEVA-RUST marketed its collections in home and garden magazines, with the promise: “It’s the decorative trend, using wrought iron furniture indoors because it brings into your home the freshness and gaiety of a flowery summer garden.”
He also liked to recommend the use of garden furniture indoors.
