Sculpture in a Music Box by Max Finkelstein

Brightly painted wooden sculpture inside of a music box by American artist Max Finkelstein. The music box appears to be a store bought item and it has one small crack on the bottom as pictured. There is a small knob on the right that you turn which makes the sculpture rotate and music play. The piece can be plugged in and the inside underneath the sculpture illuminated.

American artist Max Finkelstein has been creating since the 1950s, when he started with carvings in wood, then welding. The created works were based on biblical themes, fossil forms and images from nature.
