Arturo Alcala's art is inspired by folk art. He is famous for his modern impressionism and his lovingly detailed painting of birds and animals.
His panel paintings are reminiscent of ancient Mexican earthenware from the years 1940 and other styles of folk art in Latin America.
Inspired by 1930s Mexican pottery and other folk arts, Alcala's colorful painting features a playful fantasy landscape with mountains, trees, giraffes, gazelles, a bird, and an owl.
This painting is done on Masonite and sits in solid wood frame (see the photo of the back side)
The painting is not as red as the lead picture. The last one shows more the real color.
