A signed lithograph by artist Bob Click. This was #8 of 33 made.
It sits in its original patinated gold frame.
The title says it all, a still life with shell, accompanied with a flowers vase and drink pitcher on a table. From what I gathered online, Click resided in Manhattan Beach in California, it's possible this is what his everyday table consisted of. I enjoy this lithograph, it's very serene yet playful with its choice of colors.
Born in 1931, Bob Click was predominantly inspired by the 1950s. The 1950s can be said to have been dominated by Abstract Expressionism, a form of painting that prioritized expressive brushstrokes and expressed ideas about organic nature, spirituality, and the sublime.
