The set was designed by Swedish designer Yngve Ekström (1913-1988) in 1956 and manufactured by Swedese Möbler in Sweden.
This exceptionally light and comfortable chair, as well as its footstool are made of bent beech plywood and are recovered in chocolate color suede.
Both pieces are stamped on the wood underneath
Yngve Ekström was a Swedish furniture designer, woodcarver, sculptor, and architect, an important figure in the evolution of the Scandinavian Modernism movement.
The footstool measurements are 23.5" x 17.75" and the height 17".
