Signed "Patrick McCarthy" Dated May 7, 2005. L.A. artist Patrick McCarthy has been producing art for over 50 years and also produces custom furniture from his own gallery. Working on heavy-duty cotton canvas stapled to thickly made, custom-sized wooden stretchers, Patrick McCarthy has created nearly nine thousand paintings. He employs water-based paint, water-based varnish, a variety of silk screens combined with freehand brushwork. Each piece is unique and not part of a series. His clients include many of the world's most famous entertainers, such as Will Smith, Madonna, Andre Agassi, Usher, Matthew Perry, Shaquille O'Neal, Quincy Jones and Michael J. Fox. McCarthy received his education from the University of Notre Dame and University of Missouri.
