An endearing, wood carved wall sculpture by William Westenhaver depicting a young boy reading a book. It is made of a very grainy wood enhanced on some parts with black, pastel red, blue, and yellow. William Westenhaver was a painter, cartoonist, artisan and graphic designer, most notable for collaborating with his cousin who was owning a Tiki Design Company. William, who was an alumnus of Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles, had been a painter who was much influenced by modern painters like Picasso, but when he started working in the Tiki business he discovered a passion for carving wood.
