This watercolour painting #2 is part of a series featuring minimalist characters with pastel watercolours. The artwork depicts a pensive woman in the foreground. She poses with her head in her hands. A large water-down shadow covers the right half of her face, suggesting that she may have something on her mind, like what the artist depicted in the background. Sketched with black ink lines, it is a cityscape she may regret or dream of.

It's an interesting work from the often tricky leaking watercolour painting process. It is an exploration of the freedom offered by this type of painting. The artist mastered the challenges of the technique superbly.

The painter is Christopher Paul Cobb, not much could be found on him except that he was born in the 20th Century and he is the grandson of baseball player Ty Cobb.
The drawing is signed and dated (September 1995). It sits in a simple black stained wood frame.
