A dynamic sculpture by German artist Ludmilla Fischer-Pongratz (1899–1981), titled Raufende Buben (“Brawling Boys”). Executed in 1964, the work depicts two boys caught in a vigorous tussle, their intertwined bodies rendered in a raw, expressive manner. The textured surface emphasizes movement and physicality, while the compact form captures both the struggle and playfulness of childhood scuffles. The artist’s signature is inscribed on the underside of the children’s feet, as shown in the photos.

Fischer-Pongratz, active throughout the mid-20th century, is known for her figurative works that combine direct modeling with an emphasis on emotional immediacy.
