This acrylic painting features a nude couple at the beach turning their backs to look at the shore. The pale skin complexion of the red hair woman contrasts with the warm tan of her black hair lover. The overall impression is relaxed and peaceful like holidays in a quiet place.
The artwork is signed in red by the artist on the bottom right.

Ron Childers is an American painter and an art teacher who spent 50 years with his teacher, partner (and ultimately husband) Richard Proctor. Together they were devoted partners in life as well as in art. They moved to Whidbey Island in the 1970s. Starting in 1983, they owned and operated the Childers Proctor Gallery in Langley where they promoted and encouraged many new talents. They also enjoyed extensive international travel. The two moved to Palm Springs in 1999 and for many years, split their time between the California desert and the Pacific Northwest.
